1. Who we are

Padel Match DXB is a curated padel community for professionals in Dubai, operated from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “Padel Match DXB” refer to the operator of the service. “You” refers to an iOS app applicant, approved member or club representative.

We act as controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at georges@padelmatchdxb.com.

2. Scope

This policy applies to the native Padel Match DXB iOS app, iOS-related emails and push notifications, the public privacy and support pages opened from the app, administrator tools used to support iOS members and the Supabase and Vercel services that support this experience.

3. Information we use

Account, profile and access information

  • Name, email address, firm or organisation, role, industry, biography, LinkedIn URL and playing level.
  • Profile photograph, preferred playing areas and optional WhatsApp details or sharing preferences.
  • Application and account status, assigned pools and administrator-approved access settings.

Games, events and member communications

  • Games you host or join, availability, invitations, attendance, dates, times, courts, areas, formats, levels and notes.
  • Event interest and related participation activity.
  • Direct messages, introductions and invitations, together with participants, timestamps and delivery, read or response status.
  • Reports, blocks, moderation records, support requests and account-deletion requests.

Technical and usage information

  • Authentication records, one-time-code activity, session timestamps and security logs.
  • App version, device type, operating-system version, installation identifier, login and activity timestamps and focused request diagnostics.
  • Apple Push Notification service token, notification authorisation state and information needed to deliver and manage notifications.
  • First-party feature activity, such as opening a major section or completing an app action. These records describe the feature and time rather than the content of private messages.
  • IP address and request metadata processed by infrastructure providers for delivery, security and diagnostics.

The iOS app is designed to work without access to your contacts, precise location, microphone, health information or advertising identifier.

4. How we use information

  • To assess app access, verify accounts and maintain accurate member profiles.
  • To present assigned pools and provide directories, games, availability, events and introductions.
  • To deliver messages, invitations, account emails and optional push notifications.
  • To provide responsive support and maintain reliable service.
  • To uphold community standards, investigate reports and protect members.
  • To understand app sessions and feature use, improve reliability and shape a better member experience.
  • To comply with legal duties and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

The app does not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for members.

Depending on the activity, we process information with your consent, to provide the service you request, to maintain the security and integrity of the community, to meet legal duties or on another basis permitted by applicable law. Where consent applies, you may withdraw it for future processing. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.

6. Pool and member visibility

The iOS app presents each member with the pools assigned to their account and the people, games, events and communications connected with those pools. Some administrator-approved accounts have community-wide access. Visibility also respects block settings, contact preferences, account status and safety controls.

Profile information visible to eligible members can include name, photograph, firm, role, industry, playing level, biography, assigned pool and game activity, plus contact details you choose to share.

If you would like access to another pool, the Pools tab provides a direct route to the administrator. The administrator can review the request and update account access through the service.

7. Messages, invitations and notifications

We store communication content, participants, timestamps and delivery, read or response status so messages and invitations can reach the intended members and remain manageable in the app. New iOS-originated message content may be protected through application-level server-controlled encryption before database storage. This is not end-to-end encryption.

Authorised administrators can review a relevant communication history for a recorded purpose such as investigating a report, responding to support, protecting members, meeting a legal duty or resolving a service dispute. The system records the administrator, reason, time, participants and scope of review.

Push-notification previews are deliberately concise to support privacy. Open the app for the complete context. You can manage notification preferences in the app and in iPhone Settings.

8. Community standards, reporting and blocking

Padel Match DXB supports professional and respectful communication. Members must not post abusive, threatening, discriminatory, sexually explicit, fraudulent, unlawful or otherwise objectionable content. Members must also avoid impersonation, disclosure of another person’s private information, harassment and unsolicited promotion.

You can report a message, invitation, item of content or member from the relevant menu. The moderation team reviews reports and can take proportionate action to protect the community, including removing content, applying contact controls or ending account access. Blocking a member hides affected content and prevents new contact in either direction.

Safety and audit records can remain after other account information is deleted where this supports fraud prevention, repeated-abuse prevention, legal duties or the protection of members.

9. First-party analytics and tracking

We record focused first-party information about app sessions and major feature actions, such as opening a section or completing an app action. This helps us maintain reliability, understand how the app serves members and improve the experience.

We do not use this information for third-party advertising and do not track members across unrelated apps or websites. Private message content is not included in analytics events.

10. Who receives information

We do not sell personal information. Information is shared for the purposes described in this policy, when you direct a sharing action or where applicable law permits or requires disclosure.

  • Eligible members – according to assigned-pool, community-access, interaction and safety settings.
  • Supabase – authentication, database, storage and server-function services.
  • Vercel – hosting and delivery of public privacy, support and app-link pages.
  • Apple – App Store distribution, iOS services and Apple Push Notification service delivery.
  • Transactional email providers – delivery of sign-in, account and service messages.
  • Professional advisers, authorities or courts – where this supports legal compliance, safety, claims or investigations.

11. International processing

Some service providers process information outside the United Arab Emirates. Where applicable law requires safeguards, we use appropriate contractual, technical and organisational measures and review provider arrangements as the service develops.

12. How long we keep information

  • Active accounts and profiles – for the life of the account and a proportionate period for support, audit and dispute handling.
  • Games, availability and event activity – while relevant to the member experience and for a proportionate operational or dispute period afterwards.
  • Messages and invitations – while available through the service, until removed under applicable controls or for the period needed for safety, support or legal purposes.
  • Reports, blocks and moderation audits – for the period reasonably needed to investigate, enforce standards, protect members and demonstrate responsible handling.
  • Push tokens – until replaced, switched off, invalidated or associated with a deleted account.
  • Session and feature analytics – for the period needed to understand reliability and feature trends, followed by deletion or anonymisation, with relevant records retained where they support a security investigation.
  • Operational and email-delivery logs – for the provider-configured period needed to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the service, with relevant records retained while an active issue is being resolved.
  • Deletion records – a narrow completion and audit record where this demonstrates compliance or prevents restoration errors.

We review retention needs and delete or anonymise information when it no longer serves the purposes described above.

13. Security

We use passwordless authentication, short-lived codes, secure device storage, transport encryption, row-level database security, protected server functions, secret management, access controls and administrator audit logs. These layered safeguards reduce risk and are reviewed as the service develops, although no online service can eliminate security risk completely. We handle qualifying personal-data incidents in line with applicable law.

14. Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, you may ask for information about processing and request access, correction, completion, deletion, portability, objection or restriction of processing. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis and raise a complaint with the competent UAE data-protection authority.

You can update several profile and communication settings in the app, manage push notifications in the app or iPhone Settings and use report and block controls. Send a privacy request from the email address linked to your account to georges@padelmatchdxb.com. We may verify identity before acting on a request so that account information remains protected.

15. Account deletion

You can initiate account deletion from the Me tab under Account deletion. We confirm the request, sign the account out and complete deletion or anonymisation as promptly as reasonably practicable. We retain the narrow information required for legal duties, safety, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or audit.

Removing an item from an inbox can remove it from that member’s view while proportionate server-side safety or audit records remain available for the purposes described in this policy.

16. Age and eligibility

Padel Match DXB is designed for adults aged eighteen or over. We support that standard by reviewing eligibility and ending access where an account holder does not meet it.

17. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the iOS app, service providers or legal requirements develop. The page will show the revised date. Where a change materially affects members, we will provide an appropriate notice through the app, email or another suitable channel.
